Soulphia is putting our clients on the pathway to success
22 former and current YSP clients are now certified to work for our new Soulphia office at York Street Project.
We have recently partnered with the Mayor’s Office of Jersey City and Soulphia to provide certifications to our clients in teaching English as a second language. Soulphia is a company that empowers low-income individuals by providing a source of income through teaching conversational English to Brazilians. We are extremely excited about providing our clients with a new, reliable source of additional income. For information about the next certification session, or how to partner with us for job-training opportunities, contact Kelly Rossiter, Manager of Community Outreach & Employment Services, at

Staff-wide Training

In order to serve our clients to the best of our abilities, all York Street Staff are being trained and certified in Trauma Informed Care methods. Clients interact with staff at all levels, not only their case managers and social workers, and it is important to foster an environment of caring and understanding. To learn more about the basic components behind Trauma Informed Care, please refer to the CDC website.
