York Street Project Earns Gold Seal from GuideStar

York Street Project is in rarefied air! Less than 1% of nonprofits receive Gold Star status from GuideStar, a nationally recognized third-party evaluator of charities. This recognition will make York Street Project’s profile visible on platforms such as: AmazonSmile, Facebook, JustGive, Network for Good and all major U.S.-based donor advised funds.

Sister Kristin Funari Legacy of Hope Award

Anne, Brian, Joanne, and Bill have given two decades of their life to YSP

It gives YSP great honor to recognize their service by bestowing upon all of them the Sister Kristin Funari Legacy of Hope Award at the 2019 Celebration of Hope event on Thursday, March 7, 2019.

A Fond Farewell

Erica Otero is retiring from
The Nurturing Place after
29 years.

The Nurturing Place (TNP) is losing one of its original staff members at the end of this year. Erica began volunteering at TNP when she was a teenager and soon was hired full-time by the founding Director, Sister Barbara Moran. Over the last three decades, Erica has been spreading joy and love to our babies and toddlers. Her passion for her vocation will be hard to replace. We all wish her the best of luck in her next journey as a first-time grandmother! Erica has been practicing for this role almost her entire life. Good luck and we will miss you!!!

Support Our Holiday Donation Drive

We are very blessed at this time of year, especially, and the typical holiday items are already generously being collected for our women and children. What we really could use your help with is the collection of everyday items that allows us to put them in the hands of the families who need them today…and throughout the year.
Don’t forget to use AmazonSmile when you’re doing all your shopping! This website is operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as, but when you shop on AmazonSmile and designate York Street Project as your charity of choice, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to us!
